How to pick the perfect Clarins Facial

Fashion magazines can say what they like but there is no thigh gap, thick brows or 6-pack that can compete with beautiful glowing skin.   In terms of beauty – it’s skin, skin, skin!   Even if your bathroom is already filled with a plethora of peels, masks, and scrubs, that doesn't mean you should skip seeking professional help.  Every so often, you should treat your skin to a facial as your complexion will really benefit from the attention of a trained therapist using the correct products for your skin type.  Plus it’s far more relaxing than a DIY effort!

We’re delighted that Clarins has recently arrived at Lifehouse Spa bringing with them a range of luxurious treatments, including 7 different Tri Active facials.

Clarins Tri Active Facials are the ultimate high-performing, results-driven facials that include a face, neck, décolleté, hand, foot and scalp massage using an assortment of CLARINSPRO formulas, tailored to suit your skin type. No two Clarins TriActive Facials will be exactly the same and the idea is that each facial is completely customised to suit each individual’s concerns and problem areas.

Seven different Clarins Facials may sound a little overwhelming!  How do you know which one to pick?  To give you a helping hand, we’ve written this blog to explain a little bit about each facial and what makes Clarins Tri Active so special.

The elements behind each facial

The consultation is the first and possibly the most critical stage of the facial. With the client sitting upright, the therapist can really see her client’s skin and using touch, can check skin texture, puffiness, circulation, dehydration, and firmness.  With this knowledge and an understanding of her client’s own concerns, the therapist will choose three CLARINSPRO supplements and a mask to use during the treatment.

There are three distinct actions in each facial.

  1. The first stage prepares the skin with a combination of cleansing, double exfoliation and detoxifying lymphatic drainage massage. You’ll also receive a relaxation ritual and foot massage using essential oils to send you into a deep state of relaxation.
  2. The second stage is all about you. The therapist applies three intensive supplements to your skin based on your personal  consultation, choosing from Soothing, Hydrating, Age-Fighting, Anti-Stress, Radiance and Purifying, each one formulated to reactivate a specific function in your skin. The therapist uses Clarins Touch wave massage movements to increase your skin’s uptake of oxygen and absorption of CLARINSPRO active ingredients.  Finally, up to two intensive masks are applied from a choice of Ultra-Hydrating Cream-Mask, Soothing Gel-Mask, Repairing Balm-Mask, Radiance Plant Based Wrap, Age-Fighting Peptide Mask and Refreshing Lift Mask.
  3. This final stage is all about optimising the results so a further CLARINSPRO Radiance supplement is applied along with an eye cream and a day cream.

Now here’s the bit we all want to know – the proven results!

With a little drum roll please, our clients have seen skin hydration increased by a huge 46% and skin firmness increased by over 10%.

So now you know the process that you’ll experience (and the results), have a look at the 7 types of facials in the Try Active range to see which suited to you.

The Super Restorative Facial

This facial is like switching on a light. Intensive nourishment and hydration reactivates the plump, peachy luminosity of youthful looking skin. And if that wasn’t enough, a contouring and detoxifying massage de-puffs your skin to restore definition and brighten features. It’s the ultimate wake-up call for mature skin.

The Lifting Line Smoother

Is it the lines that stare back at you when you look in the mirror?  During this facial, skin is retextured and a youth-giving renewal process intensively energizes. Your skin becomes instantly smoother, firmer, lifted and looks refreshed and rested. Just like a week off work!

The Radiance Reviver

Dull, tired, stressed – sound familiar?   If your skin is feeling that way, then this facial intensively detoxifies and recharges. A cocktail of antioxidants and super revitalising plant extracts will restore health and radiance.  Think of it like a multi-vitamin for the skin.

The Moisture Replenisher

Do you drink your 2 litres of water and still feel your skin is dry? This facial intensively replenishes depleted moisture levels in dehydrated skin, which immediately restores softness, suppleness, comfort and radiance. This is an oasis in the desert that is parched skin!

The Skin Healer

Call the skin doctor and let’s repair that skin. Sensitive skin is immediately and intensively soothed and calmed to restore softness, suppleness, comfort and radiance. A cooling, healing hand – just what the doctor ordered.

The Detox & Shine Stopper

Always reaching for the compact to combat shine? This facial intensively purifies skin, rebalances oil production, tightens and refines pores. That means oily, combination and even shiny complexions become clearer, smoother, softer and more matte. A fresh start with a shine-free finish.

Aromatic Balancer

This is a fantastic all-rounder of a facial. Oily, congested, dry and dull, dehydrated, sensitive...whatever your skin condition, this customised treatment will rebalance and coax it back to blooming. So get ready to dazzle
