Guest Review - ELEMIS Dynamic Resurfacing Precision Peel Facial

As summer quickly becomes a distant memory and I reluctantly pull my jumpers out of storage, I notice that my complexion has begun to feel a lot drier than usual and in need of some real tender love and care.  The seasonal weather change always plays havoc with my skin, drying it out and I often need to book in for a facial to thoroughly cleanse and moisturise my skin.

Unsure on what facial would be best for me I asked the Spa Reception at Lifehouse Spa for a recommendation as they offer a wide selection of both normal and technology facials. Due to the dryness and age of my skin, they recommended the ELEMIS Dynamic Resurfacing Precision Peel as this targets signs of dull, dry and tired skin.

After I’d check in and been given a buzzer I was directed upstairs to the Spa Lounge where was greeted by my therapist Chloe. She led me to my treatment room whilst she asked me some questions about my skin and my skin routine. She then explained to me exactly what the treatment involved and left me to get myself comfortable on the treatment bed.

Chloe started by removing my eye makeup with ELEMIS’s White Flower Eye & Lip Make-Up Remover before she cleansed my skin with the Nourishing Omega-Rich Cleansing Oil. Chloe then applied Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Wash, a foaming wash that felt very light on the skin, she explained that this wash would cleanse, exfoliate and brighten all in one. This was then gently wiped away with lovely warm towelled mitts. Next Dynamic Resurfacing Facial pads were used; they have a rough side, which is used to exfoliate, and then a smooth side, which is used to tone the skin.

Chloe then went on to apply the Papaya Enzyme Peel, which smells delicious! This exfoliator is a smooth texture, which is not something I have ever encountered with an exfoliator before, I asked Chloe the difference and she explained the Papaya Enzyme Peel works from the inside out. Whilst the Papaya Enzyme Peel worked its magic I received a relaxing arm and hand massage.

After I’d been cleansed, toned and exfoliated we moved on to applying a selection on serums, which again all smelt amazing with scents of rose water and peppermint. The first serum Chloe dotted on around my face was a warming serum that was used underneath a peel-off mask used to restore moisture in my skin. After Chloe had applied the mask, I received a lovely neck and shoulder massage.  The second serum (this time a cooling serum) was dotted around my face and a soothing cream mask was applied. This time Chloe proceeded to perform a scalp massage which was so relaxing that I could have drifted off to sleep. After this was removed  with warm towelled mitts the third and final serum was applied and left on my skin, along with Dynamic Resurfacing Day Cream and Daily Defence Shilled SPF 30. Chloe explained that as this facial had removed the top layer of skin in order to resurface that it was very important to apply the Daily Defence Shield SPF 30 and to try and avoid the sun for the rest of the day.

As Chloe left the room, I slowly brought myself up from the bed feeling ultimately relaxed. I could not wait to take a peak in the mirror. My skin looked noticeably plumped, smooth and refresh. I absolutely loved this facial and was very impressed with immediate results. The hand and arm, shoulder and neck and scalp massage were all great-unexpected treats whilst the products worked their magic. I would definitely recommend to those with dry, ageing skin as it completely resurfaces the skin to reveal healthy, smooth skin below.
