Executive Chef Ugo Simonelli

Born and raised in Italy, Ugo has been working in professional kitchens around the world for 25 years including the Kulm Hotel St Moritz in Switzerland and 10 years with the Belmond Hotel (formally the Orient Express).

What is your favourite thing about working at Lifehouse?

The team! And all the different dietary requirements that I get to cook for. 

How many years have you worked at Lifehouse for?

Nearly 2 years.

What are your favourite hobbies when you are not working? 

My family! I have three beautiful daughters and they take up all my time.  I also enjoy swimming and cycling. 

What is your favourite quote? 

"When you make food is when you make love. You need to use love and passion."

Relaxing - perfect place to spoil yourself. (Okay that's more than 3!)
